A Feast of Socks and Towels

At IGNITION we partnered with Passion Regional’s Do Something Now Campaign. We shared a common desire to make a Kingdom imprint on Dallas/Ft.Worth beyond the food and space we consumed. So, at the request of the shelters in the Metroplex, we committed to bringing new socks and towels to help the homeless city dwellers. I just gleaned a report from Passion’s founder, Louie Giglio, sharing that, all together, we brought 3700 towels and 17800 pairs of socks that were routed to the homeless shelters throughout the Dallas/Ft.Worth area (picture above is the human conveyor belt to load out trucks).

I resonate with Louie’s reflection, “At the end of the day it’s not about a huge crowd, but a huge Holy Spirit of GOD who makes the weak strong, the afraid brave, the broken whole, the dead alive and the impossible possible” (www.268blog.blogspot.com, Feb 18).
