GRACEfull: Take The Gift

Although the grace of God is the most valuable gift that you will ever receive , it  is a gift for which you cannot pay. The cost of the gift of God’s grace has been covered completely by the giver. The bible describes it this way: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8 (NIV)

And what do you receive when you take the gift? You receive a gift far superior to that of gold or diamonds. Its luster cannot be tarnished and its radiance cannot fade. It is the favor of God.

Imagine joy that explodes with the power of a supernova and that ripples throughout eternity. Imagine peace that settles in that cannot be dislodged during the stormiest of times. Imagine confidence to stand before the ultimate Judge of the universe knowing the verdict has already been decided for you. This is grace.

So where do you have to go? What do you have to do? How far does one have to journey to find this most supreme gift?

Not far. In fact God’s gift is right before you. It is an opportunity that you must not let slip away. You are invited. Take the Gift!

I’ve concluded what many of you maybe have – that this is easier “said than done” as with most things that relate to faith and gifts and grace. However before you think I’ve turned cynic let me say that I’ve also found that it seems that the more these truths are practiced the easier it becomes. Could it be that “practice makes perfect”? When I don’t feel like I’m in the center of grace or full of faith yet if I pray again and ask for faith to trust that God’s promises are TRUE and the grace he has offered is actually FOR ME then a little bit more of the truth sinks into my heart and it becomes MORE of a reality. I don’t think my words can adequately describe what I mean… EXCEPT this seems to good to be true YET it seems to me if practiced more often it will become reality. That’s the amazing part!!

Thank you Ruth-Anne! Lauren was stunning to begin with so it wasn’t hard to capture that in her portrait I just had such a lovely time with these two!
